We have a passion for people, our city and our world. Our culture and leadership is characterized by worship, the love of God, and a genuine call to ministry. These core values have been shaped by our rich history of great co-workers and energy; always pressing forward in our call to love God and love others.
STAFF & LEADERSHIP

CLAY MITCHELL
Pastor Clay is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus and grow in authentic faith. He enjoys being a part of the Teaching Team each discipleship season, equipping others to walk more deeply with Christ. Clay is married to Laurie, and together they have three adult children, all currently enjoying their college years. With a heart for both the church and the community, Clay leads with vision, energy, and a deep love for people.

STEVE SMITH
Pastor Steve serves by helping bring The Naz vision and mission to life across every ministry of the church. He invests his time and wisdom into staff, encouraging and equipping them to lead well. Outside of ministry, Steve enjoys the craft of knife-making—a process of heating, shaping, and refining that he often reflects on as a picture of God’s work in our lives. Steve is married to Kathie, and together they celebrate a growing family of five adult children and six grandchildren.

DALLAS ROSTAD
Pastor Dallas is no stranger to The Naz—years ago he served as Youth Pastor, and we’re thrilled to have him back on staff! In his new role, he brings his strong leadership skills and genuine warmth to both the teaching team and the welcome team. Dallas has a heart for people and is passionate about creating a place where everyone feels at home. He is married to Genevieve, and together they have five children.

SAM EVANS
Pastor Sam joined The Naz in 2025, bringing with him a passion for worship and a deep musical gifting. He is dedicated to guiding the next generation in worship leadership, investing in youth and equipping them to lead with confidence and heart. Under his leadership, the Worship Arts Team has been blessed with training, encouragement, and discipleship. Sam is married to Pam, and together they have four children. You’ll often find his daughter on stage worshiping on Sundays.

QUINTON GOLD
Pastor Quinton came to us from the South—where snow and subzero temps aren’t exactly common—but he’s not only survived, he’s thrived! Known as the life of the staff, things get noticeably quieter when he’s not around. Quinton leads a passionate team of Youth Leaders and a Student Leadership Team, pouring into the next generation with energy and purpose. Under his leadership, the youth ministry continues to grow! Quinton brings the fun, but even more importantly, he’s committed to discipling students and helping them fall in love with Jesus so they can share their faith with others because he knows the next generation matters! He and his wife, Katie, have two little boys, both two and under—so life at home is just as lively as it is at church!

DOMINIC BEVING
Dominic may be new to the title of Associate Youth Pastor, but he’s been part of the heartbeat of 412 for years. After spending the past two years at MidAmerica Nazarene University studying ministry, Dominic has continued to grow into the calling God has placed on his life—and it shows. Students are naturally drawn to him, and it doesn’t take long to see why. With his fun, welcoming personality and genuine love for people, he creates spaces where students feel seen, valued, and excited to be part of what God is doing.
Dominic has already been investing in the life of our church as both a student leader and a summer intern in 2025, faithfully serving and building relationships along the way. His time at MNU has only deepened the light and passion he carries for sharing the gospel, and we are so grateful he’s chosen to step into this next season here at The Naz.
He brings energy, authenticity, and a heart for discipling the next generation—helping students not just have fun, but truly know and follow Jesus.
